♻️ Justice Industries & SpringBack Mattress Recycling Launch Mattress Pickup Partnership in Williamson County, TN

Justice Industries and SpringBack Mattress Recycling have joined in a mattress pickup partnership to bring a sustainable and socially impactful mattress recycling solution to residents and businesses in Williamson County, Tennessee.

A New Chapter in Waste Reduction

As of April 1, Williamson County has stopped accepting mattresses and box springs in its landfills. Instead, the county has partnered with SpringBack Mattress Recycling to provide residents with a convenient and eco-friendly alternative. For just $20 per item, residents can now recycle their mattresses and box springs at designated drop-off locations throughout the county

This initiative not only helps extend the lifespan of local landfills but also prevents harmful chemicals from being released into the environment. According to Mac Nolen, Solid Waste Director for Williamson County, “Mattresses take up space, are slow to break down, and emit harmful gases as they decompose. There are substantial environmental and economic benefits to recycling mattresses, especially when landfill avoidance costs are taken into consideration.”

🚛 Justice Industries: Making Pickups Easy

To make recycling even more accessible, Justice Industries now offers pickup and delivery services for mattresses and box springs directly to SpringBack. Their fee structure is simple and transparent—charges are based on labor and the number of pieces being picked up, with each mattress or box spring counted individually

This service is ideal for residents who may not have the means to transport their items or for commercial entities like hotels, hospitals, and furniture stores looking to dispose of mattresses responsibly.

  • Williamson County Landfill Convenience Center – 5750 Pinewood Rd, Franklin
  • Nolensville Convenience Center –1525 Owen Road, Brentwood, TN. 37027

These locations make it easier than ever to participate in the county’s recycling program while reducing transportation-related emissions.

More Than Recycling: A Mission to Rebuild Lives

SpringBack Mattress Recycling is more than just a recycling center—it’s a non-profit organization committed to providing vocational training and life skills mentoring to formerly homeless men. Through this partnership, every mattress recycled contributes to a fresh start for someone in need. As the Williamson Herald notes, “SpringBack has helped countless homeless men with on-the-job vocational training and life skills mentoring. Transitioning these men back to a productive part of our society and their families is the mission-driven purpose of the organization.”
